Five Decades of
Faithful Steps

From Ojijo Road to a thriving congregation in the heart of Westlands God has been faithful every step of the way.

1956
The Seeds Are Sown
Southern Baptist missionaries arrive in Kenya, beginning the work that would eventually plant PBC in the Parklands community.

The Church is Born
Parklands Baptist Church is founded.
1968
First Home
The congregation relocates to Ojijo Road and Chiromo Lane near Parklands Sports Club, a small acreage that housed big dreams for over 20 years.

National Leadership
After a decade of missionary led growth, national pastors step into leadership, marking a significant transition for the church.
1990s
Explosive Growth
The congregation began from 150 to over 800 members.

A New Sanctuary
The church moves to its current home on Prof. Saitoti Avenue, Westlands. The new sanctuary is dedicated on 16th April 2000.

Arise & Shine
Under Rev. Ambrose Nyangao's leadership, PBC continues to expand its reach through church plants, discipleship programs, and community impact across Nairobi.
